Judy Garland was such a massive talent. Many have done a cover of You’ll Never Walk Alone, I love hers the best. Enjoy! The photo was taken a mile from home after a storm front moved through. I miss the city and it’s offering, however an open view like this can’t be found there. Country life has its benefits, open spaces, smokey mountain fresh air and farm grown produce. 🌎✌🏻❀️

The title I borrowed from the album Fleetwood Mac (in my humble opinion their best) sung by Stevie Nicks. Sometimes in relationships you grow apart (the landslide begins), the reasons are many and different for everyone. You can’t always fix what’s broken, no matter how hard you try. Sometimes you just have to let go. Always 🌎✌🏻❀️

Behind every addiction lays a reason for the onset of use. Sometimes it’s just for fun (a thrill) it’s prescribed (opioids) or just an escape from what’s hidden deeper within (self medicate) depression, stress, fear. Drug addiction encompasses all sectors of our society (it doesn’t discriminate). I’ve attached some informative links, for those who want more information, to help someone or you need help. The song is by Velvet Underground, may artists have been outspoken about their addictions. 🌎✌🏻❀️

Today is the Summer Solstice (I’ve attached a link to a song you might enjoy in celebration) signifies rebirth, also a time to celebrate life and growth, which leads me to the following. The choices we make only bind us for as long as we let them. There is always a path to rectify a wrong choice. That path may be difficult, this makes the lesson learned one too be remembered. πŸŒŽβœŒπŸ»β€οΈβ˜€οΈ

Chosen II

hoping you hear

my whispers, that I still

hold you in my heart.

You could have chosen

a son, but didn’t. It

never stopped you from

doing the things that you

would with a son. The

evenings we’d go searching

for night crawlers, for our

early morning fishing trips

at the lake. The Saturday’s

mom was busy, you’d take

me to the barber shop, I’d

watch with fascination and

a bit of fear when you’d get

a shave. You loved boxing,

I’d watch it with you when I

got older even though mom

disapproved, you’d tell her,

“she needs to learn to defend

herself.” then wink at me,

we’d laugh as co-conspirators

would. Aside from all

that, I miss your gentle ways

never raising your voice in

anger, explaining when

you do that people stop

listening, that was also a

lesson in patience (you

showed a lot of it when

teaching me to drive, I

laugh at the memory of

your worried expression)

as well. He said you needed

it to stop your anger, I only

understood that as I got

older. He’d explain that

life isn’t always easy,

however each day

is a new beginning,

so I shouldn’t despair.

These bits of wisdom

have helped me

navigate through life,

coming from a

man of few words.

I never saw anything

but love for me

in those ice blue eyes.

He’d see a reflection

of his in mine. His smiles

and hugs always lit up

my world as a child.

As I grew so did my

admiration for this

quiet man, my father

whom I loved.

The first photo is from the day I met my parents for the first time.

Dad liked Doris Day this was one of his favorite songs, he’d like to sing it, for you Dad

My Father was a passive man,

always advocating for peace. This

came from living through WW II in Poland. πŸŒŽβœŒπŸ»β€οΈπŸ•Š

I’ve always had a love for the open seas. Long before flight man has traveled the world on the waterways of our planet, where they lead them and what they would discover at journeys end. What they learned was self resilience, endurance and their own nature. Close your eyes, relax enjoy the sound of the ocean. πŸŒŽβœŒπŸ»β€οΈπŸŒŠπŸ›Άβ›΅οΈ
