Release

She sits, contemplates,

lost within thoughts,

that should no longer

crowd her.

Yet she feels pressure,

that binds her mind,

as she struggles,

too let go of the blue

that colors her day.

It gathers within her,

a coming storm,

she feels it,

pushing

to the

surface,

running for shelter.

She steps past frosted glass,

water runs warm,

she

seeks to remove

this chill within her.

She presses palms

against cold tiles,

let’s her tears

run

as

rain

there

she

releases

her

scream.

So none may hear

the sound of her

releasing

pain.
